Silkway Studio is the textile design studio opened by Ukrainian-born artist Alexandra Danilishen in Chicago in 2001. The studio produces one-of a kind handpainted textiles, used for scarves, blouses, wall pieces and interior design.

All designs are one of a kind, each of them possessing the unique character and theme and based on well-researched theme. The last collection has been inspired by the Waterlily series by Claude Monet, with delicate mix of shades of green and blue, pink and fuschia.

The theme is also reflected in the form of garments with layers of semitransparent silk chiffon, streaming and flowing like water. The intention is to make the kind of wearables not simply fashionable for one season. They are supposed to respond to a particular time and space. They can be worn for several seasons, and the best items can stay fashionable for years.

Studio also creates one-of a kind silk wall pieces and interior fabrics, commissioned by private collectors and public institutions, collaborates with theater and ballet, participates in numerous art shows in Chicago area.

Dear guests, welcome to share the joy of art with us!
